About The Position

The Service Line Coding Administrator performs two revenue cycle functions for an assigned service line. The Administrator is directly responsible for clinical coding activities, including timely, optimal, and compliant coding of discharged accounts. The Administrator is also responsible for organizing and managing the service line’s point-of-care coding documentation improvement program. The role requires expert knowledge of documentation issues that affect service line metrics and the ability to develop strategies to optimize performance. The position is listed as 40 hours per week, day shift, with flexibility to work remotely and occasional on-site training.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field is required, unless relevant education and experience are considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Information Management is preferred.
