The Service Fabricator role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This position requires attending and successfully completing required training, maintaining a high awareness of industry changes, and interpreting engineering prints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and tooling requirements. The fabricator will operate company-provided welding, cutting systems, presses, rollers, shears, and other equipment to complete the scope of work, verifying conformance of finished work pieces to specifications and fitting/assembling parts as necessary. Documentation of work performed using appropriate software is also a key responsibility. The role emphasizes a positive approach, supportive conduct, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Training and mentoring others, and temporarily assuming supervisor duties are also part of the role. The ability to set up and perform a job from start to finish with minimal supervision, monitor job expenses versus estimates, and assist supervisors in quoting jobs are essential.
