Coordinates service dispatching, inventory, billing, payroll and productivity to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and an efficient, profitable department. This role involves courteously receiving incoming service-related calls from customers, inputting information into the computer system, and scheduling service. The dispatcher also schedules technicians for routine tune-ups and maintenance, communicates with field technicians via radio or cellular telephone, and utilizes the computer system to generate invoices for service work. Responsibilities include reconciling billable and non-billable time, coordinating the service contract program, assisting in controlling parts inventory, and coordinating the Gas Check program.
