The Service Dispatcher prioritizes and schedules Technician workload for an assigned group of technicians in relation to KPIs. The position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to external customers, creating, and relaying service requests to the technicians.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience in an office environment
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow team members
  • Must be able to follow directions both written and verbally
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
  • Must be over the age of 18

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of dispatching experience.
  • Previous work experience in an office setting
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Good phone and communication skills
  • Good email etiquette

Responsibilities

  • Receive service requests from the customer and dispatch the technician to perform the service.
  • Schedule and prioritize the Technicians workload daily and adjust as needed throughout the day.
  • Contact customers to schedule planned maintenance services.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email on inquiries regarding daily service needs and provide a timeline for completion.
  • Track and monitor Technician work orders in relation to KPIs to maximize efficiency.
  • Create work orders for the Technicians based on service request.
  • Work in multiple in-house and third-party computer systems (Tinnacity, Equipsoft etc.) to monitor and update work orders.
  • Electronic record keeping of customer request(s) and progress of the request.
  • Perform other duties as required for business operations.
