About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Workflow Platform Engineer to help design, build and scale enterprise workflow, orchestration and intelligent automation platforms. The successful candidate will contribute to reusable workflow services, API-driven integrations, event-driven architectures, AI-powered automation capabilities and cloud-native platform services. This role is ideal for engineers who possess deep expertise in at least one workflow, BPM, orchestration or low-code platform and are excited to work across a broader ecosystem of technologies supporting enterprise-wide automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of workflow, orchestration, BPM, low-code or automation platform experience.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale distributed systems in Agile environments.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one platform from either Open BPM & Orchestration Platforms (Camunda 7 / Camunda 8, Flowable, Fluxnova, Temporal) or Low-Code Platforms (Pega Infinity, Appian, Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow Workflow Automation or IBM Business Automation Workflow).
  • Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and DMN concepts.
  • Knowledge of Case Management and Human Task Management.
  • Knowledge of Workflow Orchestration and Business Rules Management.
  • Knowledge of Process Governance and Workflow Versioning.
  • Knowledge of Event Correlation, Long-Running Transactions and Compensation Patterns.
  • Experience with at least one programming language: Java (preferably Spring Boot), Python, Node.js, or Go.
  • Experience with integration technologies such as REST APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, OpenAPI, Event-Driven Architecture, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
  • Experience with at least one messaging & event streaming technology: Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or Azure Event Hubs.
  • Experience with at least one cloud-native platform or container ecosystem: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with at least one data technology: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Redis, or Cassandra.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI & Intelligent Automation tools like Azure OpenAI or AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or Semantic Kernel, Model Context Protocol (MCP), UiPath or Automation Anywhere, ABBYY, Intelligent Document Processing or OCR solutions.
  • Preferred Industry Experience in Banking, Financial Services or Capital Markets, Insurance or Healthcare, Public Sector or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience building Workflow-as-a-Service (WaaS) platforms.
  • Experience developing reusable workflow frameworks and connector ecosystems.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS platform experience.
  • Process Mining exposure such as Celonis, Signavio or Camunda Optimize.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, audit and operational excellence frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-scale workflow and orchestration services.
  • Develop reusable workflow components, connector frameworks, accelerators, SDKs and platform services.
  • Build workflow lifecycle management capabilities including deployment, versioning, monitoring, auditing and governance.
  • Support BPMN-based process automation, case management, business rules and event-driven workflows.
  • Contribute to multi-tenant, highly scalable workflow platform architectures.
  • Design integrations with enterprise applications, APIs, messaging systems, cloud services and external platforms.
  • Implement API-first and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Enable intelligent automation capabilities using AI services, document processing solutions and automation platforms.
  • Develop reusable connectors and integration patterns that can be leveraged across multiple business solutions.
  • Build cloud-native microservices and distributed systems.
  • Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, observability and platform reliability practices.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews and technical mentoring activities.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, compliance and operational excellence.
