Although affiliated with the MSS Charleston office, technicians will work exclusively at the Downtown Charleston Roper St. Francis facility. Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and basic Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and business principles.
  • Ability to lead and work with diverse teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to positively represent the company and communicate with others at varying technical levels.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with Service Management software and financial accounting systems within a set timeframe.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of the Customer Service Center Team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high sense of urgency.
  • Understanding of general service and/or construction industry.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HVAC Service, Fire & Security Service, and Controls Service.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP/WennSoft/Key2Act.
  • Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, or another related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional Customer Service, including managing inbound phone calls for service requests, complaints, invoice clarifications, and updates.
  • Receive, create, and dispatch calls for service, adapting to schedule changes and emergency requests, and keeping the customer informed.
  • Accurately set up new service sites, equipment, service calls, purchase orders, and field schedules.
  • Pre-plan and schedule all contract service work and projects, with two weeks tentatively planned, coordinating schedules and access requirements with the customer.
  • Perform daily management of open service calls, including reviewing costs, field notes, entering status updates, and preparing service billing.
  • Assist in ensuring timely and accurate completion of paperwork by technicians.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers, including utilizing customer portals.
  • Maintain open communication between technicians, team leads, and the service manager.
  • Issue POs to technicians for third-party materials.
  • Maintain customer 3rd party websites per customer requirements.
  • Place parts/material orders and returns as required.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Service Manager as requested.
  • Support the Service Manager and technicians.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company.
