About The Position

The Service Coordinator/Early Interventionist dual role in the Birth to Three Program primarily functions as a service coordinator, however, may provide specialized instruction or therapy services and support to families of infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. As a service coordinator, this role serves as the primary point of contact for families, ensuring access to appropriate services and supports, and facilitating communication among service providers to promote the child's development and well-being. In this dual role, they may work closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team in the evaluation process and create and implement individualized educational plans that promote the developmental progress of children from birth to three years old. This role occasionally provide specialized instruction or direct therapy services according to degree held and team need. They will deliver services in natural environments, such as the child's home or community settings, to support learning in everyday routines and activities.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience working with families with special needs.
  • Degree in early childhood, OT/COTA, PT/PTA, social work, human services or human services.
  • Other qualifications such as parent facilitator may be considered.

Responsibilities
