About The Position

At Servco Leeward, the Service Consultant is the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle service. The role helps ensure service needs are completed in a timely and efficient manner by coordinating communication between customers and technicians, explaining required work, and keeping customers informed throughout the service or repair process.

Service Consultants receive a guaranteed base salary of $2,000 per month, plus commission through a competitive incentive program. Additional compensation is provided to Service Consultants who achieve strong customer service scores.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of sales or customer service experience.
• General mechanical knowledge gained through work experience or education.
• Strong communication and customer relations skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and a strong driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Auto dealership service-writing experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and determine which vehicle services are needed.
• Liaise between technicians and customers to explain the work that needs to be completed on the vehicle.
• Review customer vehicle records and visually inspect vehicles to assess whether additional services are needed.
• Provide accurate cost and time estimates and obtain customer approval.
• Monitor vehicle service or repair status and keep customers informed.
• Book and close repair orders in a timely manner.
• Arrange customer loaner vehicles when needed.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts and contact customers to schedule return appointments.
• Confirm that all customer-requested work has been completed and payment has been made before returning the vehicle.
