About The Position

Arnie Bauer is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Service BDC Inbound Specialist to handle inbound service calls, schedule appointments, and ensure a professional customer experience. The role involves approximately 80% of handling inbound service calls, scheduling appointments, and ensuring every customer receives a professional, first-class experience. Additionally, the specialist will assist with cashier and receptionist duties, support the service department through customer follow-up and CSI calls, and maintain accurate customer records.

Requirements

  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn dealership software.
  • Dependable with strong attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Sufficient reading skills to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong writing skills to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, advertising copy.
  • Presentation skills to share information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions shared in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service, receptionist, call center, BDC, or dealership experience is preferred—but we're willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound service calls with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Schedule service appointments accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist customers with maintenance questions and service-related inquiries.
  • Direct calls appropriately while resolving as many customer needs as possible on the first call.
  • Make Customer Satisfaction (CSI) follow-up calls after service visits.
  • Greet customers and assist with receptionist duties as needed.
  • Process customer payments and assist with cashier responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and appointment information.
  • Work closely with Service Advisors and the Service Manager to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Support various administrative tasks to keep the department running smoothly.
