Service Associate - Hire Ahead (Teller)
About The Position
The Service Associate (Teller) provides customer service by handling banking transactions, addressing customer inquiries and problems with solutions that meet customers’ needs, and building customer loyalty. The role supports banking center operations by balancing cash, daily transactions, the vault, and ATM; following compliance, information security, and verification procedures; and assisting with opening or closing the banking center. The associate also contributes to a sales-focused environment by selling bank products, making referrals, learning about the bank’s products, and participating in meetings and coaching sessions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve problems with solutions that meet customers’ current needs.
- Build customer loyalty and customer advocates.
- Balance cash, daily transactions, the vault, and ATM.
- Understand and ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
- Follow information security policies and verification procedures to protect customer privacy.
- Assist with opening and/or closing the banking center.
- Sell bank products and make customer referrals to support goals.
- Learn about all bank products.
- Participate in daily or weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
