About The Position

Blossman Gas & Appliance is hiring a Service Apprentice at its Margate, Florida location. Apprentices help install propane tanks for residential and commercial customers and install, service, and maintain gas comfort equipment, including water heaters, dryers, ranges and stoves, fireplaces, and generators. Apprentices work hands-on alongside Service Technicians and participate in classroom and online learning.

This role offers a career path to Service Technician, Senior Service Technician, and Master Technician after completing specified education milestones. It requires customer service skills, occasional on-call duty, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety. The apprenticeship does not require prior experience, though mechanical aptitude, some prior mechanical work or hand-tool use, a positive attitude, and commitment to learning a trade are important. Starting apprentice pay is $24 per hour; pay depends on prior experience. Qualified Service Technicians with a CDL and hazmat endorsement start at a higher rate based on experience.

• Some prior mechanical work and hand-tool use are helpful for success, though experience is not required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior mechanical work or experience using hand tools.
• For qualified Service Technicians, a CDL with hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Help install propane tanks for residential and commercial customers.
