About The Position

Love’s is seeking a customer-focused Service Advisor for Truck Care. The Service Advisor listens to customers’ concerns, determines their service needs, and recommends appropriate solutions. The role supports getting customers back on the road quickly while driving revenue through sales of service, repairs, and parts. The advisor coordinates between customers and technicians, manages expectations and repair delivery, and maintains accurate service documentation.

Requirements

Previous experience as a service manager or supervisor.
Previous mechanical experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and sometimes holidays.
Ability to do occasional light lifting of no more than 50 lbs and occasional bending.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in person or by phone and provide exceptional customer service.
Listen to customers describe problems or requested service.
Determine the type of service required based on diagnosis and prepare repair orders.
Estimate the time and cost of each repair.
Advise customers about other available services.
Obtain customer approval before performing repairs.
Manage delivery of required repair work, set and manage customer expectations, and take accountability for outstanding service levels.
Clearly explain the requested service for each truck.
Act as a liaison between customers and technicians.
Maintain documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and work orders.
Verify final invoices and reconcile the work performed with the charges.
