Service Advisor/Writer
About The Position
Hansel Subaru is looking for a full-time Service Advisor to join our team! As a Service Advisor, you’ll play a key role in guiding customers through their service experience from start to finish. You’ll serve as the trusted link between customers and our technicians, helping guests understand their vehicle needs while delivering an experience that feels supportive, informed, and efficient. The Service Advisor compensation ranges from $38,500.00 to $160,000+ depending on job performance. You will represent Subaru with factory training and certifications in a supportive, high standards environment that celebrates wins.
Requirements
- Dealership service writing experience required!
- Professional appearance and strong customer presence
- Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
- Ability to confidently recommend and sell service
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and customer focused
- Able to pass a drug test
- Able to pass a criminal background screening
Responsibilities
- Greet every guest with a smile and deliver a premium check in experience
- Write and manage repair orders with complete, accurate documentation
- Present maintenance & repair recommendations clearly and ethically; gain approvals
- Follow up on declined work to ensure safety and retention
- Own the service lane flow: appointments, walk ins, updates, and promise times
- Coordinate with warranty providers and keep guests informed at every step
