About The Position

This internship provides administrative assistance to various teams within the Service department, focusing on process documentation, technical writing, and continuous improvement. The role offers a growth opportunity to learn about Trojan products and support processes, with the goal of standardizing and improving standard work documents. This is a shared resource position, providing assistance to the technical assistance center and service operations teams.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Process Documentation & Technical Writing: Work with the technical team to document standard work processes and develop continuous improvement opportunities. Provide articulate instructions/guidelines for troubleshooting equipment issues. Extensive use of OneNote to build upon existing database of product knowledge and troubleshooting aids. Update currently existing rough draft troubleshooting aids and rewrite using standard templates and formatting with guidance from senior team members as needed. Update standard commissioning documents used to ensure proper installation and commissioning of new UV systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and escalate continuous improvement initiatives. Assist team members with management of working space and 5S/cleanup activities in the lab. Assist with mechanical assembly of equipment simulators and test stands.
  • Customer Relationship: Collaborate with Parts Sales, Service Operations, Field Service, and other related departments. Potential for travel to customer sites as part of skill development/learning process.
