About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join their team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This role is responsible for greeting residents, preparing tables and dining areas, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating with supervisors and Wellness regarding resident dietary habits and appetite changes. The ideal candidate will have a positive and energetic attitude, be at least sixteen years of age, and possess 8th-grade proficiency in English for communication with residents. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day, and frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. The role also involves assisting residents with mobility and ensuring they are criminally cleared.
Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables.
- Sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
