Server 11:30am-7:30pm $15-21.50 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This role involves greeting residents, preparing tables and meals, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The ideal candidate will have a positive and energetic attitude, be able to communicate effectively in English, and be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. This is a part-time position with a shift schedule of Friday and Saturday from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
