About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time Server to join our team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This role involves greeting residents, preparing tables, bussing tables, and observing resident dining habits. We are looking for an individual with a positive and energetic attitude who is at least sixteen (16) years of age, can communicate in English at an 8th-grade proficiency, and is comfortable with physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires assisting residents with mobility and being criminally cleared.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
