About The Position
The Server sells and serves food and drinks professionally in a restaurant setting. The role involves serving multiple tables, taking and ringing orders, processing payments, carrying food and beverages, and providing friendly service while striving to ensure and exceed guest satisfaction. Servers maintain restaurant cleanliness, complete side work and opening and closing duties, handle money, and follow procedures for responsible alcohol service, including checking identification and seeking managerial assistance when appropriate. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work takes place in a potentially loud restaurant environment with hazards such as cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns, and requires frequent hand washing. The role regularly involves long hours and frequent weekend and holiday work; no travel is expected.

- Ability to use a computer to ring orders on a check.
- Ability to accept different types of payment and make change.
- Ability to carry and deliver food and drinks to customers.

- Pass all server tests and maintain complete knowledge of food and beverage preparation.

- Accept different types of payment and make change.
- Maintain assigned side work and ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
- Clear and reset tables.
- Check guests' identification to confirm they are of legal age to consume alcohol, and politely refuse service to guests who are underage.
- Observe guests' behavior and count drinks served; offer a taxi if a guest should not drive and ask a manager to intervene when appropriate.
- Report to work in a neat, clean uniform with well-groomed hair and good personal hygiene.
- Perform opening and closing duties efficiently and in a timely manner.
