About The Position

A Server in WATR Restaurant works effectively as part of the service team of the Restaurant/Bar. The Restaurant Server is primarily responsible, but not limited to, fulfilling all guest’s service needs according to 1 Hotel standards.

Requirements

  • Prior serving experience
  • Are organized and proficient at multitasking
  • Are a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment)
  • Employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu while making recommendations
  • Follow high standards of food product, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures
  • Observe guests’ dining experience to confirm satisfaction, responding promptly to any requests
  • Provides guest check promptly and returns receipt promptly
  • Keeps all service and table areas clean, organized, and stocked
  • Willingness to assists busser or fellow servers in clearing and resetting tables when needed
  • Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact respectable conversation and smiling
  • Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials
  • Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelines
  • Have knowledge of state and federal liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol
  • Perform other related activities as assigned by management
  • Guarantee neat and quality service
  • Participate in daily shift meetings
  • Adhere to strict uniform & grooming standards
  • Follow company cash handling and payment tendering procedures with care
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
