About The Position

At Vivie, the Server provides dining service to residents and helps create a welcoming community. The role includes assisting with meal selections, supporting a clean and safe dining environment, and fostering positive connections so residents can enjoy mealtimes with dignity, joy, and companionship.

The position is hourly and non-exempt in the Culinary department. It is scheduled for 80 hours per pay period, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and requires no travel. Leadership is received from the Supervisor of Dining Operations and Manager of Culinary Services.

Requirements

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow emergency protocols.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Successful completion of a state-mandated background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in dining services, food handling, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with seating residents and guests, build positive relationships, and help residents select meals.
• Set and clear tables, arrange seating, and maintain the cleanliness and condition of flatware and glassware.
• Wash dishes and organize clean dishes in designated areas.
• Maintain dining and kitchen areas by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping while following safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate proactively with residents and team members.
• Participate in special projects, assist in other areas of the building, and attend required in-service training sessions and team meetings.
