About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Vitalia N Royalton. This part-time position involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing for meal service, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits. The role requires a positive attitude, physical stamina, and the ability to assist residents. Key aspects of the role include: - Greeting and engaging residents to foster a sense of community. - Preparing tables and meal components for efficient service. - Maintaining dining room cleanliness through bussing tables and sweeping. - Communicating observations about residents' dietary habits or appetite changes to supervisors and Wellness staff.
Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to assist persons after a fall.
- Criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Understand that successful meal service requires preparation.
- Bus tables.
- Sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
- Communicate when residents are absent from meals.
