Server 11:30am-7:30pm $15-22 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This part-time position involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing tables and meals, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The role requires a positive and energetic attitude, the ability to communicate effectively in English, and physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will also assist residents with mobility and ensure they are safe and comfortable.
Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to assist persons after a fall.
- Criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
- Communicate when residents are absent from meals.
