About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring an as-needed Server at The Residence at Five Corners in Easton, Massachusetts. The Server provides customer-focused, restaurant-style dining service to residents and guests and works with culinary and community leadership to support resident satisfaction and dining programs. The role includes meal service, dining-room preparation and cleaning, assistance with special events, and adherence to food-safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Less than high school education.
Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
Focus and dedication to excellent customer service.
Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
Visual and auditory acuity.
Ability to lift and carry objects; the posting states a minimum of fifteen (25) lbs.
Ability to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Ability to use good body mechanics.
Ability to type and use a computer.

Responsibilities

Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
Work with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
Set tables according to LCB standards.
Serve beverages to residents and guests as requested.
Review the daily menu with residents.
Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests.
Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, and linen from the dining room as needed.
Assist with preparing and carrying out dining enhancement programs.
Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food-safety practices.
Assist with preparing and carrying out special events, banquets, and theme meals.
When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, dining options, and dining hours.
Clean and sanitize the dining-room carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment.
Communicate residents’ likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.
Attend the pre-meal stand-up meeting for dining and kitchen staff.
