About The Position
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a part-time Server for B-Lux Grill and Bar. The Server provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for guests and participates as a team member by following the Kalahari Promise and service expectations. The role involves attentive, personalized service and ensuring food and beverage orders are accurate and delivered promptly. Servers collaborate with coworkers to maintain a smooth workflow and a positive, efficient dining environment.
Requirements
- State or local law may require completion of an alcohol awareness or safety class and state-certified proper food-handling certification.
- Ability to operate a Micros terminal, phone system, POS system, and beverage dispenser.
Nice To Haves
- General food and beverage knowledge, including at least one year of front-of-the-house operations.
- Bilingual skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
- Greet guests, inform them of specials and menu changes, provide menu tours, and recommend items.
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system for kitchen and bar processing.
- Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar to guests promptly using appropriate service trays.
- Assist fellow associates, including servers, bussers, hosts or hostesses, and management, as situations arise.
