About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Host/ess for B-Lux Grill and Bar. The Host provides a warm, friendly greeting and responsive service to dining guests, manages efficient and timely seating while considering guests’ wishes, and helps set a positive tone for each visit. The role coordinates with servers and other team members to maintain an organized and welcoming dining environment. As part of the leadership team, the Host is expected to support and inspire associates while helping deliver extraordinary guest experiences.

Requirements

Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and phone system.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

General food and beverage knowledge, including at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations.
Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and escort them to their assigned dining area.
Rotate tables when seating guests throughout the shift.
Announce the name and party size when tables become available, using a courteous, friendly, pleasant, professional, and clear tone of voice.
Present menus upon seating and announce the server’s name.
Inspect tables to ensure proper presentation and completeness.
Assist fellow associates, including servers, bussers, co-hosts/hostesses, and management, as situations arise.
Answer the telephone using the proper Kalahari Resort verbiage.
Coordinate with servers and other team members to maintain an organized and friendly dining environment.
Manage waiting times and the timeliness of seating guests.
