About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Line Cook for B-Lux Grill and Bar. The Line Cook assists the restaurant Chef with preparing and completing food items, preparing high-quality and flavorful meals consistently, and supporting a satisfying dining experience for guests. The role is described as part of the leadership team and includes guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

Related progressive experience as a culinary graduate and/or at least 1 year of progressive culinary experience in a hotel restaurant, food outlet facility, or related field is helpful.
A certificate may be required by state or local law upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification.
Knowledge of kitchen equipment, including flat grill, pasta well, steam table, browning oven, cheese chopper/grater, steam jacket, ovens, top burners, pizza and dessert cooler, slicer, broiler, steamer, and knives.
Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverage products consistently according to facility recipes and standards for portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation.
Keep equipment clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following culinary preventative maintenance programs.
Understand and comply with federal, state, county, and municipal regulations concerning kitchen health, safety, and labor requirements for associates and guests.
