About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Boulevard St Charles. This role focuses on creating a welcoming and engaging dining experience for residents. The Server will be responsible for greeting residents, being present in the dining room, mingling, entertaining, and fostering an environment where residents can connect. Additionally, the role involves preparing tables for service, prepping food items, rolling silverware, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness. The Server will also act as an 'Appetite Anthropologist,' communicating with supervisors and Wellness regarding residents' dietary habits, appetite changes, and absences from meals.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must be able to assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for meals, and roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits, changes in appetite, and resident absences from meals.
