About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Server for The DeSoto Savannah. The role supports the company’s hospitality-focused service culture by providing attentive service to guests and working effectively with the team. The position involves taking and fulfilling food orders, maintaining a clean and properly prepared service station, following liquor regulations, processing payments, and assisting with bussing tables. The job requires at least one year of hotel or restaurant serving experience and a minimum of a high school education; post-high-school education is preferred. Flexible hours and shifts are required. The hiring process may include a phone interview, manager interview, drug screen, background and reference checks, and a potential employment assessment. Specific compensation and benefit details will be discussed during the interview process. Paid time off is available to eligible associates under the company policy.

Requirements

Minimum high school education; post-high-school education preferred.
At least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
Team-player mindset.
Ability to multitask.
Effective verbal communication skills.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers and calculators.
Basic mathematical skills for making change and issuing refunds.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
Monitor food distribution to ensure meals reach the correct guests, are properly prepared and presented, and buffets remain appealing.
Check the service station before, during, and after shifts for proper setup and cleanliness.
Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, including rules for serving minors and intoxicated guests.
Know menu items, their preparation, and service procedures.
Total checks, present them to guests, and accept payment.
Assist with bussing tables.
Perform other duties as assigned.
