About The Position

The Server provides dining service to residents and guests, helping create a welcoming mealtime experience that supports residents’ dignity, enjoyment, and companionship. The role includes assisting with seating and meal selections, maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas, and communicating proactively with residents and team members. The position is part-time, hourly, and non-exempt, with no supervisory responsibilities and no travel requirements.

Requirements

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow emergency protocols.
• Proficient in English for effective communication with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Successful completion of a state-mandated background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in dining services, food handling, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with seating residents and guests, build positive relationships, and help residents select meals.
• Set and clear tables, arrange seating, and maintain the cleanliness and condition of flatware and glassware.
• Wash dishes and organize clean dishes in designated areas.
• Maintain dining and kitchen areas by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping while following safety and infection-control procedures.
• Communicate proactively with residents and team members.
• Participate in special projects, assist in other areas of the building, and attend required in-service training sessions and team meetings.
• Follow emergency protocols.
