About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Server at The Residence at Shelburne Bay in Shelburne, Vermont. This is a part-time position for weekends, with all shifts available, paying $18.00–$21.00 per hour based on years of experience. The Server provides customer service in a restaurant-style dining environment for residents and guests, supports dining programs and special events, and helps maintain a clean and safe dining room. The role involves working with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to support resident satisfaction.

Requirements

Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations.

Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
Focus and dedication to excellent customer service.
Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
Education: less than high school.
Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
Visual and auditory acuity.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and carry objects.
Ability to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Ability to use good body mechanics.
Ability to type and use a computer.

Responsibilities

Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
Work with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to help keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
Set tables according to LCB standards.
Serve beverages to residents and guests as requested.
Review the daily menu with residents.
Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests.
Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, and linen from the dining room as needed.
Assist with preparation and execution of dining enhancement programs.
Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, dining options, and hours.
Clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.
Communicate resident likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.
Attend the pre-meal stand-up meeting for dining and kitchen staff.
