About The Position
Coury Hospitality has an amazing opportunity as a TEMPORARY Server at MaryJane’s Diner, located within the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego in the heart of San Diego’s iconic Gaslamp Quarter. This is a full-time and part-time temporary position specifically for the July Comic-Con event. As a Temporary Server, you will create a VIP experience for every guest with exceptional service, confidence, and charm, serving more than just food but delivering unforgettable dining moments.
Requirements
- 1+ year of upscale or high-volume restaurant experience
- Excellent knowledge of food, beverage, and allergy protocol
- Thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
- Flexible, upbeat, and guest-obsessed
- Availability including weekends, nights, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-touch, timely table service with energy and professionalism
- Upsell menu items and drinks with confidence and authenticity
- Read your guests and personalize the experience
- Maintain a polished section with attention to cleanliness and flow
- Communicate with back-of-house and bar for seamless coordination
- Own your section like a pro, guiding guests through our menu with enthusiasm, answering questions with ease, and anticipating needs before they arise.
