About The Position

As a Server at Commission Row, you help create a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area. You assist guests with menu selections, answer questions, accommodate requests, and contribute to smooth restaurant operations through collaboration with the kitchen, bartenders, and other servers. The role includes promoting food and beverage offerings, handling transactions, and following applicable safety and company procedures. The position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable regulations. Compensation includes tips, and opportunities for advancement within the restaurants are available.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of previous upscale and fine-dining service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome.
Assist guests with menu selections and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt, courteous service and address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally.
Take food and beverage orders accurately, enter them into the POS system, verify them before submission, and coordinate dietary restrictions and special requests with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly according to presentation standards, including performing tableside tasks such as wine presentations and water service.
Promote wine pairings, specialty cocktails, desserts, daily specials, and other items or upgrades.
Monitor guest needs, refill drinks, clear plates, provide requested items, and ensure meals include appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Set up and clean tables and keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked with utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Assist with overall restaurant cleanliness, including dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers, and communicate guest feedback and special requests to appropriate team members.
Follow health and safety guidelines, including food safety regulations, and comply with company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
