About The Position

Prime Independent Living is seeking friendly, attentive, service-minded Servers for its Prime Gastonia team. The role focuses on creating memorable dining experiences and meaningful connections for residents and guests. Servers welcome and assist diners, take and serve orders, maintain the dining environment, follow food safety standards, and coordinate with culinary and dining team members. Full-time and part-time schedules are available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with assigned weekend and holiday shifts as needed.

Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for serving seniors and creating meaningful experiences.
Ability to stand, walk, and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
Availability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Previous restaurant, hospitality, or serving experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome residents and guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and assist with dining selections.
Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders using the POS system.
Serve meals and beverages promptly while maintaining high service standards.
Anticipate resident needs and create a personalized dining experience.
Clear, clean, and reset tables to maintain an inviting dining environment.
Maintain dining room cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
Process payments when applicable.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
Work closely with culinary and dining team members to ensure seamless service.
Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and other assigned side work.
