About The Position

Assist the Club Manager in serving guests during banquet functions and ensuring a positive guest experience. Set up and reset banquet rooms according to instructions, attend pre-event roll call meetings, greet guests, serve food and beverages, replenish drinks, and check guest satisfaction. Remove dishes promptly and follow applicable requirements when serving alcoholic beverages. The role also requires reliable attendance, teamwork, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
Ability to understand and apply written product-labeling instructions for safe use of products and processes.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
Ability to transport up to 30 pounds through a crowded room continuously throughout a shift.
Ability to operate beverage equipment, such as a coffee maker, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
Willingness to help coworkers and work as a team, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet rooms with linen, serviceware, and glassware as instructed by the Supervisor.
Attend roll call meetings before events to learn event details and guest and hotel expectations.
Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Serve food and beverages in the order and manner directed by the Supervisor.
Remove dishes as guests complete each course or meal, and clear at the end of the meal or function.
Follow State, Federal, and Corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
Replenish beverages as needed and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Reset banquet rooms according to the Supervisor’s specifications after functions.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
