About The Position

The Server assists the Club Manager in serving guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience. The role includes preparing banquet rooms, attending event briefings, welcoming guests, providing food and beverage service, maintaining guest satisfaction, and resetting rooms after events. The position is casual on-call.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
Ability to understand and apply written product-labeling instructions for safe use of products and processes.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
Ability to transport up to 30 pounds through a crowded room continuously throughout a shift.
Ability to operate beverage equipment, such as a coffee maker, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including adapting communication style to different audiences.
Willingness to help coworkers with their job duties and work as a team player, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet rooms as instructed by the Supervisor, including linen, serviceware, and glassware.
Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details and guest and hotel expectations.
Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Serve food and beverages in the order and manner directed by the Supervisor, maintaining consistency throughout the banquet.
Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and at the end of the meal or function.
Follow State, Federal, and Corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Reset banquet rooms according to the Supervisor’s specifications after functions.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
