About The Position

Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee, part of the A. Marshall Hospitality family of restaurants, is hiring a Server. The Server provides friendly, responsive service and creates an exceptional dining experience so guests will want to return. Hours vary, and weekend availability is needed. The stated pay rate is $2.13 per hour plus tips.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation, and pass the federally mandated E-Verify process. An Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) serving permit is required within 60 days of hire. Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Pass the federally mandated E-Verify process.
• Obtain an Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) serving permit within 60 days of hire.
• Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests.
• Have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Have basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.
• Safely lift and maneuver trays of food and beverages frequently weighing up to 20 to 30 pounds.
• Be self-disciplined, take initiative, have leadership skills, and be outgoing.
• Have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat, clean appearance.
• Be able to multitask, solve problems, and handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities.
• Conduct oneself positively and professionally under all circumstances, including in a fast-paced environment.
• Be available to work weekends.
