About The Position

Friendship Village is seeking a Food Server for its Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility in St. Louis, Missouri. The server provides courteous, attentive service to residents in the dining room, helps residents select meals, communicates orders to the kitchen, and supports dining-area cleanliness and food service operations. The position is part-time, scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with open availability for days.

Requirements

A high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Ability to interpret and explain the menu, answer questions, manage meal service, and respond to requests.
Ability to work closely with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers.
Courtesy, tact, and grace.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; performing basic arithmetic; and following written or oral instructions in English.
Commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Experience serving tables in a hotel, restaurant, or fine dining club is desirable.

Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for resident interactions in the dining room.
Prepare dining tables, emphasizing cleanliness and organization.
Attend to residents as they arrive in the dining area.
Present menus and assist residents in choosing food and beverages.
Take food and beverage orders and promptly communicate them to kitchen staff.
Deliver and serve food and beverages promptly and confirm residents receive the correct items.
Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and the kitchen according to schedules and procedures.
Assist with transporting food and items between the kitchen, dining area, and resident rooms.
