About The Position

Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is seeking a skilled and organized Nursing Scheduler for its Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Memory Care units. The position is located at the Health Center in Franklin, Indiana, on Compass Park’s 320-acre community in Johnson County.

The Nursing Scheduler develops and maintains nursing department personnel schedules, adjusts them to changing staffing needs, fills open shifts, and maintains accurate staffing records. The role also involves communicating professionally with staff, assisting residents with banking needs as assigned, supporting employee onboarding, following safety procedures when handling supplies and equipment, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Valid LPN license or Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) license required.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work efficiently.
• Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or other healthcare setting required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and dependable, with a positive, outgoing personality and the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of college or equivalent education preferred.
• Experience in nursing staff scheduling and quality control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety procedures and precautions when handling supplies and equipment.
• Maintain accurate staffing data and records as required by regulations.
• Develop and maintain schedules for nursing department personnel, adapting to changes and staffing needs.
• Fill open shifts and scheduling needs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Communicate and interact with staff respectfully, professionally, and appropriately.
• Assist residents with banking needs as assigned.
• Assist with the employee onboarding process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
