About The Position

Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee is hiring a Server to create a warm, memorable guest experience while serving freshly made doughnuts and coffee. Servers welcome guests, learn the products and their ingredients and tasting notes, offer recommendations, take orders, operate the counter and register, and present products to Sidecar’s standards. They also maintain a clean, stocked, food-safe front of house; communicate with teammates; support the line during busy periods; and help prepare the next shift. The role calls for genuine hospitality, product curiosity, reliability, and the ability to stay friendly and accurate during rushes. Sidecar provides hands-on training, with opportunities to become eligible for tips and increased base pay as additional skills and stations are mastered. Employees who earn front-of-house certifications and learn roles such as barista and baker may become eligible for leadership roles.

• Dependability, punctuality, and readiness to work early-morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Comfort standing for full shifts and lifting or moving products and supplies.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive service from arrival through departure.
• Learn Sidecar’s doughnuts, coffee, ingredients, and tasting notes, and confidently describe products.
• Ask guests questions and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Build personal connections with guests, including remembering regulars and their preferences.
• Take orders accurately, handle the counter and register, and provide fast, friendly, professional service.
• Box, plate, and present products according to Sidecar’s standards.
• Keep the front of house clean, stocked, and food-safe, following health and sanitation standards.
• Communicate with teammates, support the line during busy periods, and help the next shift start well.
