About The Position

The Dining Room Server plays an integral role in delivering an outstanding dining experience for residents and guests. The position assists with setting up, serving, and cleaning the dining rooms and helps ensure the experience is enjoyable, timely, and engaging. The server works under the supervision of the Chef, Dining Room Manager, and/or Culinary Services Director, and collaborates with teammates and associates across departments. The role is part-time and located in Brewster, Massachusetts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in assisted living or another long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide an outstanding customer experience for residents, their loved ones, and other community visitors.
• Help ensure residents are comfortable, engaged, and catered to in the dining rooms.
• Complete assignments before the dining rooms open.
• Assist with meal service under the supervision of the Chef, Dining Room Manager, and/or Culinary Services Director.
• Understand the daily menu and food preparation before each meal, and answer questions about the menu.
• Keep snack areas properly stocked, tidy, and clean.
• Help keep dining rooms clean and properly arranged for residents.
• Complete assignments after the dining rooms close and prepare the rooms for the next meal.
• Engage with tours and the sales team to help provide a positive first impression.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with teammates and associates in other departments.
• Complete monthly in-service education hours as required by state regulations and company policies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Culinary Services Director, Chef on Duty, or Department Heads.
