About The Position

The Dining Room Server plays an integral role in delivering an outstanding customer experience for residents and guests. The role assists with setting up, serving, and cleaning the dining rooms, and helps ensure the dining experience is enjoyable, timely, and engaging. Servers help residents feel comfortable and attended to, understand the daily menu and food preparation, and support dining room readiness before and after meals. They also work with teammates and other departments and help create a positive first impression for prospective residents and visitors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience and passion working with seniors.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in assisted living or another long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

Provide an outstanding customer experience for residents, their loved ones, and other community visitors.
Help residents feel comfortable, engaged, and catered to in the dining rooms.
Complete assignments before the dining rooms open.
Assist with meal service under the supervision of the Chef, Dining Room Manager, and/or Culinary Services Director.
Understand the daily menu and how food is prepared, and answer menu-related questions.
Keep snack areas stocked, tidy, and clean.
Help keep dining rooms clean and properly arranged for residents.
Complete assignments after the dining rooms close and prepare rooms for the next meal.
Engage with tours and the sales team to create a positive first impression.
Maintain good working relationships with teammates and associates in other departments to support a high-quality dining experience.
Complete monthly in-service education hours as required by state-specific regulations and company policies.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Culinary Services Director, Chef on Duty, or Department Heads.
