About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a part-time Server for their Boulevard St Charles location. This role involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing dining areas, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dining habits. The ideal candidate will be at least sixteen years old, possess strong English communication skills, have a positive and energetic attitude, and be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires assisting residents with mobility and ensuring a safe environment. Arrow Senior Living is committed to promoting from within and fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prep tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when residents are absent from meals.
