About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Boulevard St Charles. This role involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing for meal services, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits. The ideal candidate will be at least sixteen years of age, possess strong English communication skills, have a positive and energetic attitude, and be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires assisting residents with mobility and ensuring a safe environment. Criminal clearance is mandatory.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prep tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Understand that successful meal service requires preparation.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Maintain a clean and tidy dining environment.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite.
- Report resident absences from meals to supervisors and Wellness.
