About The Position
Sidecar servers are the face of the company’s guest experience, welcoming guests and helping make each visit memorable. The role involves learning Sidecar’s doughnuts, coffee, ingredients, and tasting notes; guiding guests toward products they may enjoy; and providing accurate, fast, friendly service. Servers handle the counter and register, present products to company standards, maintain a clean and food-safe front of house, and work closely with teammates during busy periods. Sidecar provides hands-on training and opportunities to grow skills, increase hourly base pay, and pursue leadership roles. Starting pay varies by location and follows the local market; entry-level servers begin at the applicable minimum wage.
Requirements

- Willingness to learn the products, ingredients, and tasting notes.
- Ability to remain warm, accurate, and calm during busy periods.
- Dependability, punctuality, and availability for early-morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Ability to stand for full shifts and lift or move products and supplies.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, or willingness to become certified.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming experience from arrival through departure.
- Learn and confidently explain doughnuts, coffee, ingredients, and tasting notes.
- Ask guests questions, make thoughtful recommendations, and help them discover products.
- Build personal connections with guests, including recognizing regulars and their preferences.
- Take orders accurately, operate the counter and register, and provide fast, friendly, professional service.
- Box, plate, and present products according to Sidecar’s standards.
- Keep the front of house clean, stocked, and food-safe, following health and sanitation standards.
- Communicate clearly with teammates, support the line during busy periods, and help prepare the next shift.
