About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time Server to join our team at Carriage Court in Hilliard, OH. This role is crucial in fostering a welcoming and connected environment for our residents. As a Server, you will be responsible for greeting residents, being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining. You will also assist with meal service preparation, such as setting tables, preparing salads, and rolling silverware. Maintaining cleanliness by bussing tables and sweeping floors is also a key part of the role. Additionally, you will observe and report any changes in residents' dietary habits, appetite, or absence from meals to supervisors and Wellness staff.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, and roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
- Communicate when residents are absent from meals.
