About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a part-time Server at The Residence at Pearl Street in Reading, Massachusetts. The Server provides customer service in a restaurant-style dining environment for residents and guests, supports dining programs and special events, and helps maintain a clean and safe dining room. The role pays $17.00–$19.00 per hour, based on years of experience.

Requirements

Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
Ability to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
Less than high school education.

Responsibilities

Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
Work with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
Set tables according to LCB standards.
Serve beverages to residents and guests as requested.
Review the daily menu with residents.
Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests.
Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, and linen from the dining room as needed.
Assist with preparing and carrying out dining enhancement programs.
Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
Assist with preparing and carrying out special events, banquets, and theme meals.
When applicable, familiarize new residents with menus, seating, dining options, and hours.
Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and dining room equipment.
Communicate residents’ likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.
Attend the pre-meal stand-up meeting for dining and kitchen staff.
