About The Position

As a Server at Meadowood, you greet and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner according to the property’s standards and procedures, under the direction of the outlet manager. You provide high standards of food and beverage service to create long-term, loyal customers. The position is based in a casual dining restaurant and includes day and evening shifts, holidays, and weekend availability.

Requirements

Two years of food and beverage experience.
Basic computer skills.
Must be customer-service oriented, understanding, and caring.
Patient and empathetic when responding to questions and concerns from guests and staff.
Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to perform multiple diverse tasks concurrently.
Trustworthy in word and action.
Able to prioritize and remain focused through task completion when under competing demands.
Able to maintain poise and self-control in stressful situations.
Able to actively listen and provide clear, coherent responses to guest requests.
Able to solve problems related to Forum and customer service.
Ability to become TIPS certified and obtain Food Handler certification.
Able to stand for long periods, carry trays weighing up to 15 pounds, and perform constant walking, bending, and light lifting for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

Serve guests and assist co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take food and beverage orders from customers.
Handle special guest requests in a caring and attentive manner.
Collect payment for all food and beverages served.
Run a station according to the proper steps of service and departmental guidelines, and direct Server Assistants in completing tasks.
Attend departmental meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Converse professionally with guests.
Follow service standards and procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, wine, beverages, and the food menu.
