About The Position

Arapahoe Basin is hiring a seasonal Server for the 6th Alley Bar & Grill, a guest-facing restaurant at a high-elevation ski area. Servers help create a welcoming dining experience by taking and serving food and drink orders, recommending menu items, and maintaining efficient service. The role supports private and public events and requires teamwork with hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff. This position does not include employee housing.

Work takes place in a lively, fast-paced, high-volume restaurant, with occasional outdoor tasks in snowy conditions. Employees must be able to work weekends and holidays and withstand high-altitude conditions. The hourly pay range is $15.00 per hour plus tips; actual pay may vary based on factors including experience, education, training, location, merit, production, and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Previous serving experience; six or more months is preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Team-first attitude and interest in mountain culture.
• Must provide approved, non-slip footwear.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, and navigate stairs throughout the shift; and withstand high-altitude conditions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and confidently to create a memorable dining experience.
• Take food and drink orders and serve them efficiently and enthusiastically.
• Recommend daily specials and menu favorites.
• Offer friendly, informed upselling, including craft cocktails, desserts, and local brews.
• Coordinate with hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to keep service smooth and timely.
• Support private and public events, including après-ski parties, special dinners, and mountain celebrations.
• Maintain a clean, organized section and assist with bussing, table resets, and side work.
• Follow departmental sustainability guidelines.
• Assist wherever needed as part of the team.
