Requirements

  • Be 19 years of age.
  • TIPS Certified
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Must be available to work between the hours of 10:00 am to 1:00 am
  • Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Must be able to stand and work for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion work without the assistance of restraints, braces or other incumbrances that limit range of motion or physical activity.
  • Must be able to lift, move and shelve products and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures exceeding 85 for extended periods of time.
  • Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Must possess qualities like adaptability, planning, problem solving, teamwork and multi-tasking.
  • Must have above average drink knowledge of spirits, wine & beer and how to prepare cocktails from line-build to garnish.
  • Is self-motivated, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with guests to ensure they have a great dining experience.
  • Serve guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Be attentive to guests’ needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.
  • Maintain a GUEST focus while performing duties.
  • Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of guests’ experience.
  • Welcome and greet guests within one minute, making them feel special.
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
  • Make specific recommendations.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Answer questions about food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the POS system.
  • Communicate customer needs and requests effectively to HOH.
  • Garnish bar drinks as appropriate, properly open and pour wine tableside.
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
  • Pre-bus tables between each course.
  • Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists.
  • Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Provide proactive beverage refills.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system.
  • Return change to the guest quickly.
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers.
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Notify the manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
  • Prepare dining room/section for service (sets tables, condiments, candles, silverware, sanitizes tables-chairs-floors, etc.).
  • Assist guests with selections of food & beverage, make suggestions, describe chef’s specials/chalkboards, identify appropriate beverage pairings, and answer food preparation questions.
  • Provide a unique and special experience to each guest, every time.
  • Anticipate guests needs.
  • Manicure table throughout the entire guest experience (remove all unnecessary items as needed).
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specials & menu deviations.
  • Maintain accurate timing of meal progression.
