About The Position

The Server / Waitstaff helps ensure residents enjoy excellent service and meals. Working closely with the Culinary Director, this role helps deliver dishes from the kitchen to the table and contributes to a welcoming dining experience in senior living. The schedule is a mix of 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., including some weekend shifts. The posting states that there are no late nights.

Candidates must provide valid proof of full COVID-19 vaccination before starting work or commit to becoming fully vaccinated within 30 days of starting, unless granted an approved exemption. Criminal background screening is required.

Requirements

• Prior serving experience is required.
• Be friendly and approachable.
• Maintain a positive attitude, especially during busy periods.
• Be patient and understanding when responding to requests or concerns.
• Notice when cleaning is needed and help keep the dining area tidy and safe.
• Provide valid proof of full COVID-19 vaccination before commencing work or commit to obtaining full vaccination within 30 days of commencing work, unless an approved exemption is granted.
• Complete criminal background screening.

Responsibilities

• Check dishes for presentation before serving them to residents.
• Greet and speak with residents in a friendly manner, share the daily menu, and ensure they are satisfied.
• Keep the kitchen and dining room clean and follow food-safety rules.
• Clearly communicate special requests to the kitchen.
• Reset the dining room after each meal and maintain its appearance.
